Elements and Performance Criteria
- Plan and prepare for agglomeration process
- Access, interpret and apply agglomeration circuit documentation and ensure the work activity is compliant
- Obtain, read, interpret, clarify and confirm work requirements
- Select, and check for faults, equipment/tools for work activities
- Select and wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the activity
- Identify and address potential risks, hazards and environmental issues, and implement control measures
- Obtain and interpret emergency procedures, and be prepared for fire/accident/emergency
- Check and test remote control and equipment for correct operation
- Start-up agglomeration circuit
- Carry out pre-start checks
- Ensure that all agglomeration circuit drives are set to remote and ready for operation
- Ensure that all downstream equipment is operational and ready to receive the agglomerated product
- Ensure that all feed circuits (including specific feed blend requirements) to the agglomeration circuit are available and ready to operate
- Initiate plant operator sequence start
- Operate and monitor agglomeration circuit
- Read and interpret data from equipment indicators to determine agglomeration circuit efficiencies
- Continuously monitor circuit to identify defects and potential problems
- Adjust equipment within approved operating parameters to optimise performance, maintain efficient agglomeration and to meet product quality targets
- Monitor and adjust the feed rate
- Monitor and control the addition rate of binding agent
- Monitor and control the dosing rate of leaching solution
- Monitor and control the dosing concentration of leaching solution
- Monitor and adjust the drum speed ratio
- Complete all required documentation clearly, concisely and on time
- Communicate end of shift information to oncoming shift
- Respond to contingencies
- Monitor quality of agglomerate
- Shutdown and maintain of agglomeration circuit
